Member Benefits

Become a Shropshire and West Midlands Agricultural Society (SWMAS) member and enjoy some great benefits while supporting the farming and agricultural community.

SWMAS membership, from just £25 per annum, provides the following benefits:

  • Admission and VIP parking at the Shropshire County Show
  • Exclusive ringside seating and exclusive grandstand seating at the County Show
  • Use of Members' dining, private bar area and toilet facilities at the County Show
  • Complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day at the County Show
  • Reduced entry fees for the Livestock Competitions at the County Show
  • SWMAS AGM invitation and voting rights

Children's Membership is just £5.

A special reduced rate membership of £12 is offered to Members aged 18-28 years of the Shropshire Young Farmers Club (SYFC), of which £1 from each membership is returned to the SYFC as a contribution.

Membership Administration

Members will be provided with a Member’s badge. This badge will allow access to the 2 events listed above.

Direct Debit facility available for Members paying annually.

Membership can be paid by cheque made payable to Friends of S.W.M.A.S. and sent to Greenhous West Mid Showground, Berwick Road, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY1 2PF.

Great location just an easy 15 minute walk into town. Own little garden with a shelter and fire pit. Washing and toilet block and pot wash point close by. Very friendly staff. Very peaceful, calm and relaxing even though it is a big site. We had a great stay.

Great having indoor area (with heater) and two outside options (no cover or under cover). Site was enormous so plenty of room for kids to kick a ball and run about. Good fun swimming, canoeing and fishing in the River Severn. Site very secure and staff all very helpful. Shrewsbury and the surrounding area is a great location with so much to see and do. We will be back.

We had a great camping weekend and thank you for the warm & helpful welcome when we arrived. Facilities were fine, nice powerful showers and ideally situated, being a peaceful site, but still close to the town. We will certainly be returning and have recommended the site to friends.
