Everyone loves a bargain - which must be why the car boot sales here at the West Mid Showground are so popular.
Car boot sales are held on the showground on most Sundays throughout the year, with some exceptions depending on events, please check the car boot page for the latest dates.
Following a break for the winter, the first car boot of 2023 will be held on Sunday, 12th March.
An early start
Our car boots are always very popular for both sellers and buyers - you just never know what you might find!
Gates open to sellers at 6.30am, there is no need to book and buyers are welcome from 7.30am.
Pitches cost £5 for sellers but buyers can attend free of charge. There is no fixed time when the car boots close, but they are usually slowing down by 11am so it’s best to come early if you can.
There is ample parking available at the showground and we are a short 15-minute walk from the town centre.
Depending on the weather, the car boots are sometimes held in the Berwick Pavilion, so we are an ideal location even if it’s a very wet or cold day!
Helping The Rural Charity
There always seems to be a market for just about anything at a car boot sale, but we have a solution for those items which remain unsold.
Sellers who don’t want the hassle of taking unsold goods home can donate them to our charity shops. The proceeds of the shop sales will go to The Rural Charity, which helps in the general running of the showground and also allows us to support other local groups and organisations.
It’s a win win!
