Who do we support
Shropshire Young Farmer's Club
The Shropshire & West Midlands Agricultural Society are proud supporters of the Shropshire Young Farmers Clubs (SYFC), we provide various avenues of support; including grants and financial assistance to help support the federation.
Who are we?
Shropshire YFC is one of the County Federation's that make up the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs (NFYFC). The NFYFC is one of the largest rural youth organisations in the UK dedicated to young people who have a love for agriculture and rural life.
Led by young people, for young people, The National Young Farmers' Clubs provide their 25,000 members with a unique opportunity to develop skills, work with their local communities, travel abroad, take part in a varied competitions programme and enjoy a dynamic social life.
There are 644 Young Farmers’ Clubs in England and Wales dedicated to supporting young people in agriculture and the countryside.
Did you know?
The West Mid Showground uses its own water borehole, saving millions of litres of water each year, it is 36mtrs down and is cleaned before it enters the Showground water system.
Who can join?
You don't need to be involved in farming to be a Young Farmer - just someone who appreciates the countryside and enjoys rural life. If you are between 10 and 26 and think this sounds appealing, why not join one of the 18 clubs in Shropshire YFC?
Shropshire YFC is an extremely active county with all clubs participating in many activities. It's a great way to socialise and learn new skills in a fun and safe environment. You will be surrounded by like minded people who all support each other to ensure that you are not only successful as a Young Farmers Club, but as individuals alike.

Our Core Values
The core values of Shropshire Community Resource enable us to achieve our vision of supporting people and achieving change in Shropshire. Our values are:
Great location just an easy 15 minute walk into town. Own little garden with a shelter and fire pit. Washing and toilet block and pot wash point close by. Very friendly staff. Very peaceful, calm and relaxing even though it is a big site. We had a great stay.
Great having indoor area (with heater) and two outside options (no cover or under cover). Site was enormous so plenty of room for kids to kick a ball and run about. Good fun swimming, canoeing and fishing in the River Severn. Site very secure and staff all very helpful. Shrewsbury and the surrounding area is a great location with so much to see and do. We will be back.
We had a great camping weekend and thank you for the warm & helpful welcome when we arrived. Facilities were fine, nice powerful showers and ideally situated, being a peaceful site, but still close to the town. We will certainly be returning and have recommended the site to friends. "What a find" Thanks again!
